We’re a real thing!

This has been a long time coming. Lindsay’s been in the travel business for a while; Theo and I have mostly cheered from the sidelines. But a few years ago at a bar near Washington Square Park, Lindsay dropped her big idea on us — to start a travel company that brings people who love the things that we love to a city that we love: Budapest.

Generally speaking, that means people who love to travel, who love history, who love good food and good booze, and are mostly looking for something new and different for a European vacation. Sure you could go to Budapest on your own, and believe me, there are some great tour books and guides out there. But what makes the city so special and so important to us are its hidden places and off-the-beaten-path spots.

So why book with us? First, we’ll get you the best accommodations in the city. Period. Don’t waste your time clicking around apartment share websites. There are now TONS of rentals in and around the city center, but after talking to us, we’ll recommend neighborhoods and types of apartments to stay in. Then, using our network of friends in the city, we’ll find you the absolute perfect place. Prefer a hotel or something more traditional? We’ve got you covered.

Second, we’ll hook you up when it comes to seeing the sights. The three of us think that Budapest’s unique history makes it one of the most special places in Europe. Explore the Ottoman past, the pre-Christian history, and our fave, the post-Soviet history of a complicated country (that’s currently going through it’s own complicated present). You should definitely see the big landmarks (and we’ll show you to a few hidden ones as well), but we think any good walking tour needs to be immediately followed by a refreshing adult beverage and copious snacks.

Which leads us to the third reason for booking with us. We know every top restaurant in the city. Want classic Hungarian on a vinyl table cloth? Check. Want unbearably spicy Thai food from market stall that you would never find without us? Check. Fried food, goose legs, fried cheese, duck breast, other fried delicacies? Check and check and check and check. Budapest is certainly a good place to gorge yourself. We’ll book your meals, find you cooking classes, and take you on wine and palinka tours in the countryside to round out your visit.

Lastly, we know that relaxing and taking it easy is a core part of enjoying the ambiance of Budapest. The thermal baths are a must, and we’ll cater to your preferences — from the more touristy but palace-like spas to the medicinal baths where you won’t find an English speaker in your steam room. And when the weather’s nice, we’ll get you outside: biking around Margit Island, picnics in City Park, boat rides up to the Danube “beaches” where you can play dice and get a wine spritzer (froccs…ask Theo about his favorite version).

In short, we’re just excited to share one of our favorite places in the world with you all. Call, email, text. We can’t wait to help you plan your trip.
